Well I want to do a mini-me head swap on my d15b7. I did some reading in the forums here and have also decided I am going to swap out my cx tranny for a d15b tranny (vtec tranny) and I have found one. My question is, will the tranny bolt up to my engine? And is it worth even doing the transmission? Ive heard it makes quite the difference. Is that because of the gear ratios in the vtec trans.?

 

the tranny I can get for $500 shipped to me. I know a mini-me will run me about $500 properly done. Now im not sure if I can install this transmission myself, so would I be better off just doing a complete jdm d15b swap with the lsd tranny I want to use? My local shop is about 800 for the complete swap and then labour, as I donnot have the tools to do it myself.

 

i'm pretty sure the tranny will bolt right up.
