Default mini-me iacv reassurance

I wanna make sure i know exactly what im in for before getting in over my head with a mini me.

I have heard there are a lot of problems with the iacv wiring between 2 wired plugs and 3 wired plugs. but from what i have been able to find, all of these problems result when someone uses an intake or ecu that does not correspond with their transmission. Ie: y8 auto trans uses 3 wires and manual trans uses 2.

so am I correct in assuming that if I get an A/T p2p ecu, and a y8 A/T intake and throttle body, and use my A/T y7 wiring harness and y7 auto trans, that I will not need to do any wiring except the vtec solenoid and the knock sensor?
