i have a 97 honda civic dx with the d16y7 and a crappy(automatic)transmission and i was wondering if i get the 97 ex engine harness and ecu plus the head from a manual ex will it work on my car since its a automatic and is that all i need LoL

 

the answer to your question is the head will fit the harness you cut the plugs for vtec(with wires) you run your own wires needed to the ecu. and you need a knock sensor also you need an vtec ecu from a auto or you will have a cel on. and also get the intake manifold but from a auto vtec the manual dont have the needed kick down cable hookup for the trans. it will help with the gain+
