Default my rod blew a hole in the block

ok so what happen was i was driving home about 15min into the drive i hear a loud noise coming from the front. seeing how i just changed my suspension i blamed that but as i pulled over and saw a bunch of oil i knew i was sccRREwwed! so i pop the hood and i see a big *** hole in front of the block.. ssoooo i had to get towed home and just curious does n e 1 know what couldv'e caused the rod to break.. i had water go up the intake tube due to some flash flooding so i dont know if it had to do w/ that . but my question was are the timing chain, water pump, spark plugs, spark plug wires interchangeable within the d> getting a jdm d15b this fri. so anyone have info?? post pix of damage today.

well that's the thing i was going about 30mph. just at a steady speed then boom!! i would take that my head would go before my rods. lol. also do you think revving redline would do this... just a question

i left the car sitting overnight. i had vaccumed out the water in the morning but the water had a lot of dirt so ?? when i got the piston out the cyl. walls didnt show any type of wear on them so it was strange . also about the redline revv im asking cause my bro had borrowed it to go out of town so i dont know if that has that type of stress on rods.

see you didn't say it was 2 months ago. i thought you meant that it was before your rod broke... so no it wasn't a hydrolock then

well okk i did rev to the point where the engine revs out. ok besides that my main question was are the maintainance items like spark plugs, wires, timing belt, water pump, interchangeable between d's ?? seeing how i'm getting my jdm d15b this week
