Im wondering what the max N/A whp would be out of a B16A, GSR, and a C5?....im guessing the C5 would win. This is saying they were all built for N/A.

The most N/A Ive seen out of a b16a2 was about 200 whp. I couldnt imagine any of them getting more than 220 without stroking itand that would take a good chunk of change

Best B-series N/A power for the money is a LS/VTEC. No question. 200-220 is easily obtainable with just cams, high comp pistons, and IHE. I would use a B16 head, and some .5mm oversized B16 pistons, which can be ordered relatively cheaply from any Honda parts dealer. Compression could be tailored from 12:1-12.5:1 with these pistons, assuming the block and head are left unmilled, and varying with headgasket thickness.

If you're willing to spend a few hundred more on pistons, a B20/VTEC is another option. It's not used much, so I can't say how well the thinner sleeves hold up to higher rpms (I wouldn't mind trying to see ). But, by using this block you gain 3mm for the bore (84mm), which if you went with a LS block, you'd have to spend ~$1000 on sleeves to obtain. Pistons would have to be forged from an aftermarket company, as there are no OEM high compression pistons in an 84mm bore.

In response to Ryan, I have seen a few 85-86mm LS/VTECs (or LS cranks in a B18C block), make 240-260 at the wheels, and I think 270-280 would be possible with the right stuff. (The LS crank has been determined to make power everywhere over the GSR crank, without being stroked too far to be detrimental.) Above that I've only seen Crower's 92mm stroke crank used. (It's been determined above 92mm is detrimental heh.)
