very limited number of places that carry these pistons at a price i can afford, so i ordered the vitaras

 

Should be -1.8mm out of the hole with those. Not sure if that will be a problem... but compression will be about 9.7-9.8:1.

 

??? These sit .01 in the hole and compression is 9.18:1

 

207.45mm (block) - 137mm (rod) - 42.25mm (half crank stroke) - 30mm (vitaras compression height) = -1.8mm

 

Nevermind, my source was wrong. Comp height is 28mm on vitaras. .2mm in the hole.

 

Nvm lol, we're both wrong on compression. It's 8.83:1. Blah, I hate when people don't know how to make measurements and post inaccurate info. 9.06:1 with D16Y8 two layer headgasket though. (static)

 

no worries, but god, you scared the **** out of me, ive ran the numbers a dozen times and i thought i had done somthing wrong.

?Why does compression go up with thicker gasket, the Z6 is thinner right?

 

Nah, the two layer is a bit thinner. Lol sorry to scare you. I was going off this site http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/dcalc.htm because Zeal was down at the time I posted that. Apparently it's compression calculator and piston info are incorrect. Zeal seems to be the only good one around (even though they have the deck height wrong for D15 blocks).

 

well crap, already got the HG, oh well, ill make it work. You know anything about which would be a stronger rod, JDM D15b or D16A6
