the reason the auto trans goes out is 98% the owners fault.

1:they never change the fluid until it starts giving problems.
2:they add stop leak, stop slip, lucas oil. and clogs the filter.
3: they dog it thinking its a race car.
4: they hook up the engine with more hp. auto trans arent ment to hold more than stock hp.

^^^^ I agree 1000000000000000000000%. I love seeing all these boosted cars on craigslist that are auto. Pretty grand.

Thanks for the offer man, but I like the simplicity of the D16 also the openess of the engine. The DOHC takes up so much space, kinda reminds me of the 300zx engines, jammed tight into the hood....If I upgrade I'm going H22.

Look at it this way, eventually you'll run out of things to break.
At least you don't find little retarded mistakes that the previous owner had done.
My vtec was hooked up to the O2 sensor wire on the ecu cause the previous owner didn't know what he was doing, besides multiple other things.
I just keep fixing them as I find them.

Would somebody please point me in the right direction of how to do timing, because this ******* mechanic that I have hasn't gotten to me yet to time my car. I am constantly calling him and I;m not getting any answers or nothing. It's true what the saying says if you want something done....do it yourself.
