oh yeah, and on a honda, shift at redline. some cars benefit from shifting before it, but hondas make all their power in high rpms.

actually I brlive 16.5 is pretty close to what you should be at
thats normal.

a lightened flywheel and a perfomance clutch will help.

Thanks everyone...I will take all into consideration. Never thought of the flywheel and performance clutch though. is that pretty tough to do yourself NTX?

if you've never done that type of thing before, i'd either buy a good manuall or have someone with experience help you out.

Launching at 5k prob wont get you anything but spining tires through a horrible 60 ft time, unless your lsd equipped.
true, thats why you need to feather the clutch out. When you start, let out a little then slowly let the clutch out. You will feel it... you want to stay right on the edge of spinning, but dont. Thats the best way... If you arent close to 5grand then you'll puke it.

I agree with what polo says. Thats what my buddy does in his camaro and he doesn't spin at all, i think he launches at like 4500 or 5 grand

yeah, but front drive cars will spin the tires a lot easier.
