Default resonator chamber removal

just put an sri on my civic esi. since its cone filter intake is now occupying the area where the stock air box used to be, i am thinking of removing the resonator chamber behind the bumper to open up the space to let more air in through the ducting of the original airbox.

i know it doesn't really matter much as far as a source of air for the sri is concerned even if i leave it as is, but since the resonator chamber has no use now, thinking of just taking it off and give more breathing air to the sri.

possible? any potential problems?

yeah take it out, i do on all my civics, you have to remove the front bumper, pretty easy to do.

Yea I pulled mine out too, just take off the bumper, there's a few screws, and just pull it out, you'll have to wiggle it out, there's no use for it anymore. The bumper area opened up was perfect for my radiator overflow tank that I reloacted there too .
