so i have a b16 obd2 in my 97 dx hatch....it fires up and idles good...but it wont rev over 2k it just falls on its face...
Could it be a vaccum hose?

Any Ideas as what this is?

 

what ecu do you have, and are you throwing and cels? can you give any more information to help?

 

yes im throwin the following codes

throttle position sensor
intake air temp sensor
idle air control valve

 

usually when you order swaps, a bunch of sensor will break or **** out on you during the shipping or in the warehouse. try and fix the codes, then see if you still have a problem. you could try and reset the ecu and see if you can rev up to 2,000 before the lights go back on (might work).

 

how do u reset the ecu?....
and what lights?...dash?

 

unbolt the battery, let it sit for a while, it will clear the cel you're getting. and when i said 'lights', i meant the 'check engine' light.

the only one is the intake air temp sensor

but i dont have it on the engine so i dont really need to worry about it right?...

 

you don't have it on the engine as in..........the motor is missing the sensor, or the motor doesn't come with one?
