Default !!!Rod Bearing Going Out!!!

I have just found out that the connecting rod bearing in my 1997 Honda Civic has started to go bad. I have just got the car through a trade for another car so i guess i kind of got screwed. I got 400$ out of the trade though so i believe i have the money to fix the problem and i am going to do the rod bearings my-self. I have done rod bearings in a 2000 Daewoo at work and i was able to do them with the engine still in the car. Is that the case with my Civic? And i DO NOT want to change the mains because i don't want my main-seals to leak at all. The noise coming from the engine is extremely quiet. The bearing hasn't gone out yet but it is going though. I was wondering if it was easy to do the bearings while the motor is in the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated. (1997 Honda Civic EX Sedan - D16Y8 - 112,000 miles)
