Default Starting a massive swap project!

Alright well i've decided that if i ever really want to go fast in my car, it's going to need a engine swap. so i have a basic 2006 honda civic with a 1.8 in it... i want to drop a nice v6 in it.... it's going to pretty difficult but i have people who this for a living and they'll help me out best the can...what V6 engines would be good for the civic? i know ill need to switch out a lot of thing but my main worry is finding a nice v6 that'll actually fit under the hood.... a friend was telling me that a v6 prelude engine would be best but either im not looking hard enough or it doesn't exist...

and if anyone could give me a list of the required parts to make it compatible with my car or a site that could i'd be very grateful...

oh and idk if this possible (or advisable) but what engine could i get that could feed the intake through a hood scoop??

This is a bad idea... your car is so new that you really should just sell it and buy an 8th gen Si with a K20 in it. But if you really want to, go for it I guess... I don't know of a performance-minded V6 though that you could swap in... most of them are for economy, like the Pilot engine.

P.S. Don't get a hood scoop.

There is no V6 prelude engine

There is no such thing as a Prelude V6. I have yet to see a 8th gen Civic with a swap like this. Splat is a member on here and did a V6 swap in his EK hatch and is probably the one to talk to for you. Read about J series swaps.

I mean yah it would be kool if you could do it just because no one does them but guess what...PEOPLE DONT DO THEM FOR GOOD REASON! you can do a K20 swap super easily and they are still really fun and really powerful. Unless u have a lot of money and time and another car that u can use for a dd i say leave ur car alone until u can get a K20.

However if you are really dead-set on doing this SPLAT is selling his V6 engine with tranny and the whole shebang in the for sale section. I doubt that anyones bought it yet but u can check that out.
