hmotors has a killer rep on what they sell and their customer support but before you go and buy this may I suggest something else?
Find a B18C1 swap with a automatic tranny, it can be had for like $2500 cheaper and when you get it put your B16 head, intake manifold, and use your B16 transmission. This is refered to as the poor mans type r. It gives you 185 to 190ish crank hp and the ability to boost if wanted being the lower compression.

RE: swaping JDM B16A to JDM B18C Type-R
i can get the B18C Type-R with manual trans for the same price as the B18C Type-R with the automatic trans. Well first of all i am going to run a N/A engine till i get my turbo, then when i turbo it i will put the B16A head on it (Unless i sell the engine). i have a question-this place http://www.jspecautosports.com/catal...spx?prod_id=11 says the 98+ B18C Type-R has 210 HP (then this place http://www.hmotorsonline.com/shop/sc...0Engines&hit=5 says they have the same HP). which is is right?
the 2nd web site the engine is on the bottom of the page

im pretty sure the B18C makes 185 at the crank.
seriously though, a JDM B18C is a waste of time and money. especially if you're looking to turbo it in the future. (the factory PnP looks really nice tho...but you could get that with the USDM B18C5)
and id really like to know where a highschool student is getting the money for all of this JDM engine-swappage and a huge list off the spoon site. i need in on some of this action.
