valve cover gasket?

Default valve cover gasket?

ok im gonna be adjusting my valves in my 92 lx. I just needed to know if i should wait till i get the money for a new valve cover gasket or if the one i have should be fine to be reused?

thats what i figured. ive been needing to do it for awhile now and just planned to do it a couple weeks back but ive had so much **** to do i aint been able to afford it yet. but seeing as how ****s been going i figured id check with you guys and see.

Ive heard some gaskets are reuseable up to a couple times but i wasnt sure. That wasnt for a honda i heard that for either.

but anyways thanks for the replies i appreciate your replies.

eehhhh, I have taken my valve cover off two times already in the last 3 years and I always used the same gasket, just a little gasket sealer and you would be fine.

Exactly. I've had my valve cover off....probably, 10-15 times in thelast few months, no worries. Just look it over really good, make sure there are no cracks and that it doesn't look brittle

Like gsumano said, pick up some gasket sealer and hit the corners with some of that. Good to go!

yeah that's not under a whole lot of pressure, it's not super critical

This is old but I'm going to bring it back up.

When you changer your valve cover gasket. The gasket come with gasket, gromets, and washers for the bolts.

My question is- When you guys changed your valve cover, did you change the bolt washers? And if you did, how did you get the old ones off?
