you just decribed every engine that has come in every civic made from 1992 to 2000

 

how do I find out if it is then? It doesn't say vtec anywhere that I can see on the actual engine, any other way to check?

 

looks for a vtec selinoid

passenger side of the valve cover, behind the dizzy

 

Is that engine in a car? If its the stock engine in the car just give us the year and trim and we can tell you what engine it has and if it has vtec.

 

Or look at the block and tell us the engine code.

this man is correct i got $50 bucks last night because some guy bet i couldnt tell if his hatch was vtec or not i show him my vtec selinoid on mine and where it should be on his if it were vtec so i educated a man and got 50 bucks toward new valves
