vtec vs non vtec??

Default vtec vs non vtec??

What differences can I expect when changing my stock engine to vtec? I have a 92 civic lx

more power UP TOP. you prolly wont have more power down low, but depending on the head you swap on you might cuz it could increce compression a bit

what do you want us to say? thats what the difference is gunna be. more power. unless your looking for an explination of VTEC in which case you should as for it :P

why don't you tell us more about your car, i.e. what you have done to it so far and what you want out of it?

i've only done cosmo stuff to mine ie tint and rood visoretc... i have plans for setember to get a magnaflow cat-back and AEM V2 maybe some headers in october

V-Technical answers?

The vtec head flows better than the nonner in the first place, so even if the Variable valve and lift Timing Electronic Control were disengaged you would still see some gains. There is a sticky on here somewhere that explains the concept with a video if you wanna look around for it.

As far as differences- the biggest will be power. It's a good 20 Hp over the nonner, as well as continued torque into the rpm's where the nonner would normally drop like a rock.

Are you swapping engines or just the head? Becasue with the head swap you will also get just a smidge more compression over the stock vtec.
