i was just wondering what all types of engines fit in a 01 honda civic LX. It has a D17A1 and i know a D17A2 (same motor just VTEC), K20A1/2/3 will also fit but that is all i kno of. The K20's are very expensive and im not planning on takin the thing to the drag strip and running some kick *** time. im just gonna drive around and when some random punks pull up next to me thinkin i got a ****ty civic, i leave them in the dust. I was thinking of keepin the motor i got and rebuilding it comepletely but i read around and it seems a swap would be a lot better for the money. Their will be Turbo added and N2O (why not, i got it on my ****ty D17A1 already). Any information you give me will help, and i thank all you guys for helpin me out, without u i wouldnt kno anything about civics.

 

K20/K24 are only engines that will pass emissions testing.
