Default whats in my 97 ex?
Can someone tell me what engine is in my 97 ex? and what i could do to make it faster w/o turbo or supercharger, or nos.

im pretty sure that your 97ex has a D16Y8 motor sohc v-tec.

anything w.0 turbo, nos, superhargers to make your car faster is a swap and a b18c1 is a good swap for your car or a b16

motor swap is out of the ? right now but its coming in the future, the dealership i bought the car from said it had a v-tec but it doesnt say v-tec on the engine, and it dont have the v-tec decals on the side.

its not suppose to the d16y8 valve cover ony says honda right? unlike the the d16z6 that says v-tec.

EX = SOHC VTEC


Only the DOHC VTECs have the decals on the side
