Continuously variable transmission, or CVT!

It is offered in the CIVIC HX model. It gives good gas mileage, but i was wondering if someone on this board has personal experience of driving a CVT. How is the reliability of CVT and any thing i should be aware of??? Ne Disadvantages over the regular automatic transmission ???

please advise !

mine was originally an hxbefore i went to town on the car....gear ratios on the hx are real long....doesnt make for the quickest acceleration but great top speed....if you are trying to make the car fast.....ditch that tranny

If your looking for a "cleaner" car, they say it's cool. You wont be out at the drags with it but you'll save at the pump.
