I think that is sweet...might want to replace the internals on the DOHC ie...valves, springs, retainers, cams, possibly gears,a p&p or a valve job(cost less) and you may have a monster. And clean the bottom. oh and pistons. That would make a nice project to swap sometime. If you do it I want to know how it turns out.

currently building a Z6 head for mini me.

Go for it

wait wait wait wait. everyone jumped the gun on this. are you asking if you can put a DOHC head on a SOHC motor? except maybe the old dohc D16 head, no, you cant. you CAN put a SOHC VTEC head on a SOHC non-VTEC block. thats the mini-me that they were talking about.

I apologize as I was reading another post in this same forum where we had been discussing the difficulty but that it was possible.
Is the d15b(J) not the same as the d15b7 SOHC? Cuz they made it sound possible. I guess I might had wanted it to be true.[&o] Sorry for any mis-information. "ZC head on a D15B?"

a dohc ZC is a whole different animal than a b series dohc. yes a dohc zc head is a possibility, but i think he meant something along the lines of a b series head. the sohc vtec head would make more power than the zc head anyway.

hold on [sm=dontgetit.gif]
what is a zc?
starting over

i have a d16z6 block (sohc vtec i think)
i want to know if there is any dohc head that i can bolt on and make more hp's?
if so what is the best one to go with in terms of easy application and most output.
