Default '01-'05 Civic B-series Swap Information

I get this question constantly, and as the resident 7th gen guru, I'm here to answer this once and for all. NO, you cannot put a B-Series engine in a 7th gen. There are no motor mounts that are currently available for a B-Series in a 7th gen, much less a wiring harness. There is only one, yes only one, 7th gen Civic under B-Series power. It is a car prepped purely as a race car to run the salt flats. Also, the 7th gen Civic started production in 2001. Therefore, the only B-Series engine that would even be emissions legal to install is one from a 2001 Integra. There were no other B-Series engines in production at that time. You must install an engine from the same year, or newer, in order to pass emissions. If you have a 2002 or newer, tough. The K-Series is the next incarnation of high horsepower Honda motors, and in 7th gens, it is the only way to go.

And NO, you cannot swap an F20C into a 7th gen either.

i'm pretty sure you can, because the 2005 Civic Si has a K series engine and so does the 2008 Si. I would imagine the mounts are similar and I think you could probably use 2001-2005 Si motor mounts and have it work. I'm not entirely sure at all though, I'm just making a logical conclusion.

This thread is really old and I don't think the user is coming back to the site. I would advise you to try starting your own thread to get better results with replies than this thread will probably get.

So what about h series? I'm sure k series isn't the ONLY swap available for an em2 is it?

I don't mean to revive an old thread, but the D15Y3 does not come with VTEC or VTEC-E. Your best option to to add a turbo-kit since a supercharger is NOT an option with where the engine mount is located and the fact that the shock tower is in the way.
If you are cheap like me, you'd be trying to avoid a complete K-swap.
If you want more "speed" then you can do a complete gearbox swap like I did to my EU1

Default Question

So i have a 94 accord ex with the 2.2L VTEC F22B1 motor with an automatic trans and was curious if this motor will swap into a 94 Civic that currently has a 1.6L VTEC with a 5spd transmission

Asking about an F series swap for an EG in a B series swap for an EM/EP thread that is 15 years old.

Here's something useful, however. F series swaps are very similar to H series swaps in the vehicle you have. Is it worth it? In my opinion, no, but everyone likes what they like.
