Halo Headlight Installation
1. First, here are the tools I used. A 10mm Combination Wrench, 10mm Socket, Socket Extension, Multidirectional Socket Extension, Ratchet, and a Phillips Screwdriver. You’ll also need 2-4 wire connectors and wire cutters (not shown) to hook the halos themselves up to either running lights or an auxiliary switch. Don’t forget WD-40 for any rusted bolts!!!

2. I loosened all the bolts first. This includes removing the bumper (7 plastic insert screws on top, two bolts underneath (not shown), one Phillips screw in each fender-well (easiest to turn your wheels inward to get to these ones) that holds the fender and bumper together, and a bolt underneath fender you can get to once fender is loosened.)

And the fenders just need to be loosened, not completely taken off!!! (3 bolts on top and one in the door well)

3. Once all this is loosened up and off, you can start on the headlight removal. Start by unclipping and removing the headlight bulbs. Simple enough...Just push the wire in until it comes loose of the plastic hook. {NEED PICTURE} Then unplug the bulb from the plug (the new halo headlights should have come with bulbs so you won’t need the old headlight bulb.) You won’t be able to get the running light out ‘til you remove the light fixture, so hold off on that. There are 4 bolts holding the fixture in place. (2 on top in plain view, one on the radiator side, and one on the fender side of the fixture.)

Once these bolts are out, you should be able to just slide/pull the fixture out. I found it was easier to take the running light out at this point. Also, while you have it out, clean/replace the bulb if you need to. (NOTE: wrap this bulb in something soft and put electrical tape or something around it, so the bulb doesn’t get scraped/broken.)
4. Next you’re gonna want to install the new halo headlights the same way you took out the old ones and don’t forget to put the running lights back in before you bolt the headlights in!!! Be prepared for a difficult time bolting them back in though to the side bolts (I did cuz mine were rusted a little. WD-40 should fix that!). After you have them in you can plug the halo headlight bulb in and test it if you haven’t already. You can take this time to hook up your halos as well. (I hooked mine into my aux. light switch, but you can hook them to your running lights, just remember: Ground to ground, hot to hot!!! If in doubt, get a voltmeter!)

5. Once you have the headlights back in and tested out, you can replace the bumper and tighten down the fender. The fitment might be a little funny around the headlights, but you can loosen the bolts slightly to readjust/coerce the fender and bumper to where you like them. After you have checked that everything is in working order (and that you don’t have any leftover parts!!!) you can close the hood (careful the first time, just in case something wasn’t fitted right. Just check the clearance before you slam it. Should be alright though.) Everything should be done now.
