Default 2001 Civic HX - rpm to mph

Just bought a 2001 Civic HX for my commute of 140 miles rnd trip - 3 -4 days a week. The previous owner said he got about 35mpg with mostly city driving and 20% highway. I 'm tracking my my miles between tankfuls so I'll soon (within at the 1st week) have an idea between tankfuls. I will be driving 90% highway and 20 % city.

I noticed today while at 63mph the rpms were sitting at 2500rpm in 5th gear.

Is that a normal reading?

Thanks,

Martin

Oh f#ck. I wans a HX transmission badly. My 1.6 civic does about 3100 for that. Here in Hungary the legal highway speen is 130 kmh = 81 mph. My civic revs almost 4000 for that, and as I calculate a HX does ~3250 :S
