CEL/MPG question

Default CEL/MPG question
I've got a CEL for my primary O2 sensor since my header is cracked right down the middle. I also just started a new job and there's a 64 mile commute every day. How bad will my gas mileage get due to the CEL?

my primary went and i checked the mpg, it didnt really change(after a day long trip), before or after i fixed it. got around 32.

When I had the same problem I lost about five going from 35 to 30

I go from 37-40 down to 30-32 with a CEL.

Strangely enough, I've consistently gone from 32 to 35 mpg with my CEL. I might just keep it broken because I'm doing better on gas WITH the CEL.

I like this new subforum. Good idea.



The specific CEL code would really help. And a cracked header per se should not throw an O2 sensor code.
