Default Tips for optimus mileage please...

I have a civic 98 lx, automatic

i changed the spark plug for double electrode
changed spark wire
changed oil filter
changed oil
changed air filter
changed fuel filter
changed cap distribuitor
cleaned injectors
changed thermostat
changed ignition coil
tire is 32 psi

But.....

Have only 19 mpg, dont have anything codes, the only thing that worries me is that when it stopped in D4 with the engine running of course, the car shakes a little...

That's so hard to believe(not saying I don't believe you), how are you calculating gas mileage?

We charge 10 liters (2.64 gallons), and initializes the counter, the miles that are divided among the 10 liters (2.64 gallons)

thanks

Its not accurate like that. What you have to do:

Fill the gas tank all the way full.
Reset the the counter
Drive until tank almost empty
Fill tank to full
Divide distance by how much you filled.

The capacity does not matter. The only thing that matters is distance traveled divided by volume used.

Rate=distance/volume

Check the spark timing, it is adjustable. A retarded spark timing will kill gas mileage. If you can't get the spark timing right near the center of the adjustment range, the cam timing may be wrong (timing belt skipped). That is also bad for mileage and performance.

Conventional spark plugs or single-electrode platinums are fine. Some people have had trouble with multiple-electrode plugs.

might wanna try a valve lash adjustment. do you hear a ticking sound for a few minutes after you start your car, even in warm weather?

valves out of spec can cause bad gas mileage, loss of power, and rough idle as you mentioned.

Also, might wanna try some gumout complete fuel system cleaner to clean out your injectors and intake valves. cant hurt to try for the price.

Also, is there a lot of crap in your trunk and back seat? more weight equals worse gas mileage. a couple hundred pounds of junk in a civic can make a big difference.
