well this morning was fun.... i got a flat tire... O JOY!!!!! left home going for work in the rain, drove about 2 miles then noticed a odd noise drove another mile and stoped at a red light, opened the door looked at my back wheel and saw it was completly flat! drove another 1/2mile or so to a gas station, tried refilling it with air.... then the valve stem starts hissing air. remember its raining out and my spare tire is under my big heavy subwoofer box in the trunk plus im not even sure if its good or not! so i just filled the tire with air hoped back in and drove back home, 1/2way home.... ya you guessed it tire flat again so i drove home going 20mph on a flat rear tire HOPING THAT SUCKER WOULD NOT SEPERATE!!!!!! luckely i guess the cold and rain helped cool the tire while driving so it never cracked or seperated from the rim.... it looks like it might be reusable with a new valve stem but i might just ask my parents if they will loan me some cash for 2 new tires for my other 14inch steelies.
and my black civics battery is deader than a door nail and my little jumper pack still wont even make a clicking sound on the starter so i just called off to work.... talk about a morning
wouldnt be so bad if my work didnt JUST change to 2week paychecks so im really low on cash till i get paid NEXT FRIDAY stupid biweekly payroll change!

Today I gave my Civic the day off from its 60 mile commute (each way) because I'm sitting at home sick.

should'a swapped the battery from your DX into it
that sucks though man

reminds me of when my alternator belt snapped on the way to a movie with my girlfriend
luckily i was able to make it home, but we were basically stranded there because no one was home and needed to get a ride to her house so we could take her car instead. Luckily, my good friend's mom wasn't busy and she lives around the corner and she was able to drive us to my girlfriends house (prolly like 3-4 miles)

my 99 battery is a LARGE optima. to much of a PITA to remove!
its not a simple slide out and in job but it works great for my stereo!

boss at work called back and said IM JUST CURIOUS why dont ya just jump it with another car...LOL well one its a BIG FREAKEN BATTERY dead as a rusted door nail, and i dont want to risk burning up my nice high power alternator puting that hard of a load on it to make a 15min drive to work and i know it wouldnt be charged enough so id have to jump it again. to much hassle. high power alt or not that would make it put out MAX POWER constantly and thats not good! ive heard a good alternator can only charge about 3 car batteries before it can burn out its windings..... i dont want to risk a 300dollar alternator for a 40-50$ paycheck after taxes! LOL
o well they will be just fine at work! the patient count is low at work so they will be fine without me. just make the boss get out and help on the dishes for breakfast.LOL
i rarely call off and at least i did try afew things. hell other people at work call off sometimes because they are cramping and some BS! one call just, im not coming to work today im cramping. and yet my boss wants to give me some crap... exactly why i didnt pickup the phone on his @ss! ill give him the dam tire repair bill tuesday and see what he says!

o ya and on a side note i just got some new 14inch tires for my dx. i have some 14inch rims laying around so went ahead and got 2 new Barum Bravuris
195/60R-14

had one on my black civic before the nice wheels and they do look good
ill buy the other 2 on my next paycheck. and luckely the flat tire turned out ok even after driving on it for about 2-3miles so thats good. they just replaced the valve stem.
i need one more 14inch steelie and then ill have enough 14s to get a whole set of winter tires for my civic. no clue when ill start buying the winter tires tho. guess it depends how soon it snows or if i think i need them.

installed magnaflow high flow cat to pair up with my new exhaust. I learn new things everytime I work on my car. I was trying to take off the O2 sensor from underneath the car and I ended up pulling on it too far. The plug came out underneath revealing removable connectors. Made things much easier working out from the car. Got the sensor off and everything was put back on in 10 minutes.

test drove it, everything is good to go

whenever my suspension parts come in I'll do that over a full weekend.

I cleaned my sister's headlights with Meguiar's PlastX and cleared her maintenence required light on her 01 coupe. I don't know what to do with my Civic today other than drive the east loop for fun.

ran over a big *** chunk of semi-truck blown tire tread on the interstate. there wasn't much i could do, if i swerved i probably would have ended up in a ditch. luckily it didn't cause any damage.

went to buy some Meguiar's PlastX because itinerant said it was good. used it on my girlfriends car and it worked like magic on her car. then came home and used it on my civic. Also, installed some led bulbs for the license plate light
