"what have you done to your civic today?"
Today, I repaired the minor paint chips in the body work. Tomorrow, when the repair filler / paint dries, I'll probably wash it.
I just got the car yesterday (Sat., Jan. 17), at around noon. It took 3 1/2 hours to get it home (had to drive all the way to Nashville, TN to get it. I live in Central KY). After that, I parked it in the garage, and went on my way.
A bit OT from the point of the post, but I'm playing a little game: How long can I own a Civic Si without anybody realizing it? When I got home, it went in the garage. It's paint-chip repair job was done in the garage, with the door closed, and I plan to wash it in the garage.

Well, so far I haven't been true to my word above.
I've slept in, watched a few movies, and done everything in my power to not have to venture into the garage to do some manual labor...I guess I'll go and repair those paint chips now...
All I really need to do is buff them now. After that, it'll be ready to be cleaned.
UPDATE: Finally got around to cleaning it. I detailed the inside (don't have a picture of that -- too dark), washed / waxed the outside, and cleaned all the glass. Tomorrow I'll work on the wheels / tires.

got a new radiator and thermostat installed today.
I drove about an hour on last thursday (going to a sonic to try it) and when we got there finally i was like..damn my legs are freezing. My reservoir was empty and i opened the radiator and it didnt even spray on me (it was like -20 or something with windchill). filled that up and when i got home saw it was leaking.
it sucked driving home. we ended up buying extra socks on the way home to keep warm and no cig smoking b/c it was freezing out! lol

As said, I worked on the tires and wheels today. They look SOOO much better now, without the road grime! I also cleaned a bit of the interior (did a once-over on the dash and steering wheel with a Clorox wipe, to get the dust off). Tomorrow, I plan on cleaning the upholstery, and detailing the interior.
-removed ingalls rear camber kit(every squeak came from this. the washers that rest between mounting arms and bushing area starting separating from bushing area, cheap build and quality)
-installed and greased skunk2 rear camber it
-fixed front drivers side strut(rod shot through washer that sits below dust boot. I'm an idiot and used a normal washer from strut boot area instead of tapered washer. Rear agx struts do not use tapered washers, but both fronts do)
-installed energy suspension front sway bar end links on drivers side
-sent out damaged carbon fiber hood to you know who...UPS
-washed and returned rental vehicle...dodge caliber
-missed driving my civic
-test drove it today after finishing rear camber kits and broken strut assembly(missed stick shift and sitting low to ground)
-also used a dremel to cut off some of the damaged rod ends from front camber kit(when removing it I tried lightly tapping a hammer to seperate the ball joint from the knuckle, well it got smashed so the lock nut wouldn't go back on.)
-installed oem type r cluster faceplate(carbon fiber look, but it's plastic with a carbon fiber print. Had to cut out hole for cruise control light, remove cruise control plastic piece from old faceplate and put it on new faceplate. Had to cut off housing area for maintenance required reset and mount it to new faceplate while cutting a hole so the button would fit and seat properly)
had a fun day
Tomorrow I'm going to remove front passengers strut, remove old washer before same thing happens like other front strut, install tapered washer, and finish putting the right side energy suspension front sway bar end links
I have some energy suspension front control arm bushings coming in tomorrow, I'll probably get them installed wednesday(shop on base allows me to press out old bushings and install new ones for nearly free. I might just install new lower ball joints at the same times while I'm there.)
once the front control arm bushings and new ball joints are in place I will have upgraded every suspension component in my car. I'm getting a little tired of it, but it will soon be done.

those front balljoints suck! i remember changing one on my 94civic. press was worthless to me... worked much easier with a BFHammer and large sockets and put the new balljoint in the freezer to help install it again with a hammer and sockets.
ive put my civic on the road the past few days. i love my truck but trying to save alittle gas, so one week i drive the civic and next week i drive the truck
lately 26-28mpg and about 13-15mpg from the truck. tho still both = when it comes to driving experience... they both have pluses and negatives...
