such a pain though. i also put on the sparco shift ****! i thought the shifter wouldve been shorter though...

that's because you bought a short THROW shifter. That shortens the distance you have to move the shift forward and back to get them into gear. You are thinking of a chopped, sawed, hacked, lazered jk, short shifter.
