"what have you done to your civic today?"
[:@]= Me right now
I went to go install my new side mirrors from K2motor.com... I've always had good experiences with their site, not this time. The mirrors look great and actually match my cars black paint quite well. But I have a sedan, I ordered the mirrrors that said "for 4dr only". Got outside in the blazing sun and took off the door panneland thestock mirror thenlined up the new one... not even close to correct fitment.
THEN, I jacked up the back of my car, took off my wheel to start installing my poor mans camber kit and sure enough... the bolts were too long! The guy at the hardware store told me that they were 45mm, I have a feeling he was WRONG.
Anyway... don't have anymore time to work on it today, so I guess It'll have to wait untill after the weekend... it's so frustrating having a short time to work with and nothing goes right...

Yesterday, installed a CAI built from a kit that's offered at O'Reilly Auto Parts.
The company is called Spectre Performance and they have a modular CAI kit system you can build to suit your needs. I added a cone filter, a 6" extension, and an adapter with off-the-shelf parts for $50 to my existing VX intake tube.
There's nothing I can do about the weiner little intake hose until I come up with a different throttle body, but it all went on fine after I removed the stock airbox. I actually heard VTEC for the first time the other night as well. The little car seems to be running a lot better - even with the A/C running. Not nearly as anemic on the take off.

The site shows all the parts available. All I needed was the Intake Adapter (P/N 8147), 6" Extension (P/N 8718), and PowerAdder P3 Cone Filter (P/N 9132-6).
The 6" Extension slipped into the stock VX rubber air tube with a little coaxing and fits tight. I jammed the big end of the Intake Adapter into the Cone Filter (which is really tight), and then slid the small end of the adapter into the other end of the 6" extension. Then I zipped tied it down to the fender mounting point for the factory airbox. Piece o' cake and a cheap alternative to a K&N or AEV kit for more than 3 times the price. And I can use my K&N Filter Charger kits on the filter as well - bonus! I'll probably go back for the universal mounting kit, just to make it nicer than a zip-tie holding it down.
So far, so good though - I'm impressed and happy.

I know what'cha mean. I've made about 7 trips to the car-vac in the past 3 months and still haven't gotten all of the previous owner's funk out of the carpet. There were actually some rather large areas of brown throughout the blue interior - yeesh. The floor mats are coming along nicely though - something about hanging them in the stall and high-pressure blasting the crap out of them just seems to work.
Back on topic - I'm making a new rear-hatch area cover from a half-sheet of masonite and a roll of blue auto carpet I snagged from Advance Auto Parts. Use a big-*** piece of cardboard trimmed to shape as a template, then cut the masonite to match with a jigsaw. A can of 3M Adhesive to stick down the carpet, and we're in business. Total cost: $30.
Now nobody needs to know about my amp and subs.

Let's see here... I put my mugen style front lip back on, put my black widow sides back on, slapped my type-r style rear lip that came yesterday on, threw my old z3 fenders back on, and I re-mounted the muffler so it wasn't blowing exhaust right onto the rear lip. I'll have pics up this weekend when me and my friends get around to lowering the back end of my car.
