"what have you done to your civic today?"
finally fired up my girl after a couple years and it only took a little bit of starting fluid and she ran like a champ. going to put a new fuel pump in today when i get home. but i was wondering, the transmission i have is done for, jumped it and landed on a boulder... i have a transmission out of a 87' crx (d15a3) i believe and i was wondering if it would bolt up? thanks..
also, assuming you are in the US, they have transmissions with a cable clutch (if it's a manual), so you shouldn't have a problem there.
ya i'm in the U.S. and it is a manual cable tranny. i know most trans should bolt to most d series. so i was pretty sure it would but the header off of the other motor wont work and the IM is different. would the IM bolt up to my d15b2??? would be nice, 4 injectors instead of 1. even though its still dual point.

The intake manifold should also bolt up. I'm not entirely sure about this, but I think you would need the ECU from the motor you're pulling the intake manifold from, since it's a different type of injection. I'm not sure if that ECU would work with the actual engine though.
The header is supposed to fit. All D-series exhaust ports are the same, except for the DOHC ZC motor.

also found out i need to do more work. replace axle from torn boot and fix a leaking brake line in the rear eventualy as well as change the dented oil pan just because....

can you take some pictures of each head? I would like to see the intake ports and exhaust ports on each one, or if one of them is currently bolted up, i'd like to see pictures of it as best you can without having to remove anything.
