Stuck behind a bus plus some traffic,the passing lane opened up. A few cars were pulling out and punching it. First was a chrysler crossfire, second was a mustang then a taurus,then a gap. I had short time to go,yahoo. I was in 2nd- pedal at 75%. I was looking at my blindspot as the revs were climbing. Ive never pushed past 8000rpm (the rev light indicator is a great tool) The car was pulling hard when the limiter came in. I eased it into third and coasted back a bit. I have a del sol w/b16 the rev limiter is a jolt in that car -the fuel is cut completely. In mynew si the revs just stopped climbing. In 3/4 mile there was an overpass with myroad on top. I take this road to work everyday and I knew there is sometimes a speed trap on the other side and sure enough the crossfire was nailed! Could havebeenme. Tru Story

be careful. they can see how many times youve redlined it if you go in for warranty service, and they can void your warranty if youve "abused" it.

 

Yikes! Good to know. I dont abuse it too bad though. I was just looking at my flank not the dash. With the light Im spot on when I rev it. Really it sees vtec only a few times per week and only when its warmed up. Im totally in love with the lsd and nav.
