1.6 Lier / 5-Speed Rough To Drive

Driven manual cars 20 years. Bought a 2000 Civic 5-speed LX and the car seems difficult to feather into first and second. Seems to require alot of gas

Clutch does not slip!

Do I simply need to adjust driving habits?

yeah prob, every car has its own feel, after 20 years of driving you should know this.

yea.. i am only 18 and been driving since i was 15 and have had 3 different cars.. all stick. and all three have been very different. my 89 civic is the same way tho.i just had to get used to it.. its nothing with your car

I've been driving mostly manuals myself, I remember when I switched from Driving my Toyota Supra to my BMW 325i I stalled the crap out of it constantly. But I got the hang of it eventually. I think you just need to get used to it. They really are smooth transmissions
