Someone has a black 95 civic lx sedan for sell...

He says its in good shape and his mechanic will look it over for us tomorrow for free (we are test driving it tom.)

The only problems with it, he says, are the back 2 windows wont roll up/down and the AC doesnt work too good if it sits in the sun for long periods of time?? I dont know what the sun would have to do with that...

It has 180,000 miles and looks to be in good shape, outside and in. He wants $2100... I offered $1800 because its all I have... If he accepts my amount..

Do you guys think its worth it? 180,000 miles seems like A LOT to me...

Im looking at that, and a 94 VW golf with 130,000 miles for $1600

 

Maybe by the A/C not working good after sitting in the sun he means because the inside of the car is hot and it takes a while for it to cool off once you get in?

 

I got the car....

The only problem with it is that the radio will pick up some local stations fine, but others will be staticy... Do I need a new antenna and would that fix this problem? If so, how much are they?

I also need 4 hubcaps, the paint has came off the ones on the car, I can get 4 on ebay for $36 + shipping..

Has anyone spray painted their hubcaps?

 

"Big tip" throw away the hub caps.... just repaint your stocks black and ride out

 

Yeah, thats what Im going to do, i took the wheel covers off just now and they'd look better without.

My rims are rusted though. Im going to get some naval jelly to remove it tomorrow... Do I have to sand the rim before paint, or primer it?

And where do I find how much torque to put on my lug nuts when placing the tires back on the car?
