1997 CX MPG?
Hello,
My current daily driver is a 91 Civic DX hatchback, which gets about 40MPG (highway). I've been offered a 1997 civic CX hatchback (190K miles) pretty cheap and the owner says he only gets 28-30MPG. I looked up MPG figures for this model/year, and they seem considerably lower than that for my 91 (34-35MPG). I know this car has been taken very good care of, but I suspect the cats and the O2 sensor may be original, which might account for the relatively poor MPG. What kind of fuel economy can I expect from this car? This is very important to me, as I have a VERY long work commute.
Thank you.
Mikel
