1999 Ex Coupe Clutch

well the flywheel all depends on how bad of condition its in... its just like your brake rotors... if you see or feel any ripples on it or its just not smooth feeling id have it to be turned down at a autoparts store that turns brakes, they typicaly also do the flywheel as well.
i used a exedy clutch setup on my old EG civic which it worked great. but when i change the clutch in my 96 im going with all OEM. ive heard people say the OEM bearings are alot better quality. and OEM is almost always better if its stock.
but before you think your clutch is dead i would have a friend help you out... first bleed the clutch fluid thru so its clear and no bubbles, then look at the clutch slave cylinder and make sure its moving all the way back and forth. if it isnt moving id say the clutches master cylinder might have went bad and not geting any pressure to move the clutch... if its that its a simple fix.... and if its not... O WELL now you have new fluid bleed thru the system which is always good. then go ahead and pull the tranny to replace the clutch.
just do a bit of testing before you decide to spend alot of cash to have the clutch replaced or the time to do it yourself all to find out it was actualy something simple.

Not sure why it would be ok for a truck to drift in the snow and not a car. As long as you don't drive like a moron and go bouncing the motor of the rev limiter and slipping the clutch like crazy it's not going to do any abnormal damage or cause any excessive wear. Except to the rear brakes maybe. And that is no different than in a truck. besides a truck is not nearly as fun to "drift" in.

It's not 100% necessary but unless you want the new clutch to slip, not have the grabbing power that it should and not get the same clutch life that you would than I'd reccomend replacing it. Here is a vid explaining how it works.

And here is the WHOLE kit, All you will need. Flywheel and all. A little more money, but it's good quality and saves you time and hassle.
