oh and the 2003 only has 127. so that's a 33 hp deficit in a HEAVIER car.

realistically im not going to spend money on the motor. car will be used for commuting to and from work (60kms both ways). I like a car that corners well, so i will throw the 03 si around in corners. Sounds to me like honda did a ****y job with the 01+ civic

but like you said... if i dont like the body style then how can i get it?

No they didn't do a ****ty job. You're comparing the sport version of the 6th gen to the commuter version of the 7th gen. For tuners, yes maybe the 6th gen is better, but for the 95% of the populace that buys a civic to get good gas mileage and have good reliability as a family car, they did a great job. The d17 made better torque and gas mileage. The inside materials of a 7th gen are also SIGNIFICANTLY nicer than in a 6th gen. Obviously though, if you're looking for a fun drive, the 2000 si is going to be a lot more fun than the 7th gen ex(American trim)

I'd go with the 00 civic si, Plus if you bought a 02-05 civic si, i think your friends would call you a soccer dad if you drove that ugly excuse for an si AKA mini Van. I just sold my 2000 civic si for 5000 dollars too.

What, I can't help it. Everytime i see someone driving a 02-05 si i think there going to soccer practice. And Honda did a great job with the k20 on the 08 civic si.

I think they look pretty good. Another thing about them is how unique they look.

i pulled the trigger...picked up the 03 si (canadian) which is the us ex coupe. Its a nice ride, full load, aftermarket 17's, car handles nice. I was pleased to see a sway bar in the back as well. It was a deal i couldnt pass up. I am surprised how much torque the 1.7 has as well...car drives nice, a few things i gotta fix though.

you should sell those 17's and get some 16's. Probably make a profit off of it too.

I had a 05 Si ( AKA the SIR in Canada ) I loved the car, the only prob i had was the HP.
But all you have to do is put a Type S head on and then your golden.
I dont see why people are putting down the EP3, it was one of the best Hot hatch's in the U.K., even top gear loved the hatch.
