Default 2001 civic Dx and 2006 accord

i have a 2001 civic dx with a d17a1 motor in it. i have a few questions about this.
1) Is there a way to convert the a1 into the a2 without buying the a2(vtec) and if so how.
2) is there a way to take out or modify or bypass the govenor in the car without buying a new ecu for it and if so how.

OK my wife has a 2006 honda Accord with the ivtec engine in it the vtec is in all the time i belive or at least when it kicks in there isnt enough of a change thats y i belive its in it all the time im wondering if there is a way that i can change the time that it engages the lift 4 her?

To answer your first 2 questions...
1. Yes and no, you could do a mini-me, but I'm not 100% sure on the comp ratios of both engines, regardless you'd see a gain if you put an A2 head on the A1.
2. No. EMS is only way I know of, and Hondata and Uberdata won't touch our ECUs.
