2001 EX - need repair advice!
2001 EX, about 79500.
According to a Midas shop two oil changes ago, I need need front struts.
Besides the struts and a wheel align, also recommended by the local Honda Service at the last oil change (78000)were:
Rear Sway Bar Links
Drive Belts
Timing Belt
Water Pump
Like any other frugal person I want to prolong both the life of the car and my pocket book.
What should I expect to pay for these items?
What do you all recommend in terms of proceeding or prolonging each fix?
Any additional ideas, such as the recommended 80000 service?

i too need front struts, but i did confirm i needed them by looking at them very close and pushing up and down on the front fender to watch the bounce. Shocks and struts stop bouncing. so if you have any spring work or bounce or moisture like hydrolic fluid residue around your struts, its time to replace.
