I wish to buy a used 2003 Honda Civic Ex. I average about 1,500 miles a year (I primarily drive on the weekend). My budget is 10,000 or less. I want a car that will require minimal maint. and where my dollar per life expectancty mile is maximized while the maint. per mile is minimized.

Low maintenance car. I have an 01 and it is great, nothing broken yet. Hondas will run for a long time assuming you take decent care of them.
