Default 2023 Engine for Reliablity?

Thinking that a Honda Civic may be my new car purchase, and before I get my heart set on any specific one, I would like to know if there is a difference in the reliability between the 158hp 2.0L and the 1.5L Turbo? If so, which one of the engines has the best reliability?

And just as a random question, did you go with the sedan or the hatchback?

My 15 year old is taking over my 2013 Kia Optima so I'm thinking a bright red Civic might help me through my mid-late life crisis! While fun factor is always welcomed, at my age, reliability is my top priority - because once I retire next year I don't want to have to go back to work because my car broke down LOL

If you have any other advice you think I need to know before purchasing my first Civic I'd love to hear it!

Thanks for your help!

TripleB

Both are great motors! As long as you are properly maintaining - either will be just as reliable.
