Default 4 Dr Engine Swap

I have a 2001 4dr lx, doesn't sound like the right kind of car to be tuning, i know. But i'm looking for an engine that i can drop in it with the best results. My current engine is a 1.7L 4-cyl 5-spd trans. Anyone have any suggestions?

K20A2, you cant swap any earlier engines in as it is both illegal and there are no mounts to do so.

It is illegal to put a earlier model engine into a later model car. Some states it goes un-noticed and people dont care but you get down to it the law states you cant do it.

I was pretty sure that law was only on a state to state basis, and some states don't follow it.

dont be fooled some 4 doors are lighter than other 2 door hondas, like i think mine is lighter than a teg of the same year, its all what u swap in it, u can mod anything with time and lots of cash and make it fast, besides a 4 door is a good sleaper... imo anyways
