Default 4 Simple Noob Questions

1. Does anyone know what the ECU chip is called? it's around $150 dollars, and shaves a 1/2 second off your quarter mile.

2. Does anyone know a good company that sells an entire Strut Bar set?

3. Does anyone know how to secure wheels safely, other than a good car alarm and wheel locks?

4. Does anyone know about how much it'd cost to replace(spark plugs, belts, and anything else under the hood that needs to be)?

Thanks so much in advance, I just want a total ball park to shoot for

4. whatever it costs, pay it.

a broken timing belt sucks majorly if you have an interference engine. that means your valves would crash into your piston heads should your timing belt snap and your engine keeps firing.

it's an expensive fix, to say the least...

I had my timing belt blew apart on me in my old corolla, it went into like 5000 pieces. lucky for me Toyota has noninterference engines . but i got the civic shortly after that. and that reminds me, do hondas have noninterference engines

How often should the timing belt be changed? The shop around here wants $300 to change it.

1) huh?

2) eBay dude, eBay... I think mine were like $40 shipped and work great. I think they're Bomz racing or something like that.

3) Wheel locks are about it. Unless you want to chain and lock them to the suspension when you leave or something.

4) All that stuff you can prolly do yourself with a little bit of reading.
