Nope, they are interfirence so change that belt and quit being as lazy as me
Good to know, and man that sucks [:'(], your right i should stop being lazy and have it checked/ or check it myself but i dont think i would even know if it was on wrong I have still to increase my mechanical skills. my old shop teacher didn't even teach us how to do an oil change[:@]
Your shop teacher should be shot. I'm a little more lucky, the amount of stuff my shop teacher has taught me is amazing. Right now we are learing about engine management and lab scopes.

How often should the timing belt be changed? The shop around here wants $300 to change it.

every 90,000 miles... but it depends on the belt. ask before you buy. there are some cheepies that only have 60,000 miles on them.
