i was watching a youtube vid on 4th gen civics and one had a sir the r looks to have been put on at the later time its grey the si is red but what is the difference between a 4th gen si and sir or is this guy just a buttface and put the r on it to look cool?

 

look it up on wikipedia. i know a crx SiR has all the usdm si goodies, but there is a b16a under the hood.

 

syeah i was gonna say the the sir have like a b18 in it or something this thing was a hatchy tho

 

I can answer this thoroughly. I am just going to say the things the SiR has that the Si doesn't have.

Rear disks (not all 4th gen Si had them)
Power windows
Power folding mirrors
Unique gauge cluster (with a door ajar diagram thinger)
Leather wrapped steering wheel
Optional audio center console
Longer, wrap around style, front signal lights
Wider headlights, single bulb
Hood bumps up, not down (if you own a 4th gen, you know)
SiR spoiler (long LED brake light, looks nicer)
Bronze glass
Rear headrests
Leather door panel with red stitching (might just be the CRX SiR)
Leather seats (some models)

Can't think of much others ATM.
B16a had LSD I believe.
There wasn't a lot for performance changes I suppose...

He is just a buttface though, and put the R on for looks probably. Or he did a Type-R swap or something, and decided he deserved the R.
I would never put Type-R on my Civic... DX badge fo' lyfe gangstuuuuuh. xD
