If a 5th gen coupe doesn't have a tach, which trim level is it, and what motor would it have?

RE: 5th gen w/out tach
thats a fifth gen then, and find any ex or si gauge cluster will have a tach and can straight pop into your old location, no wiring or anything, i know my 92 cx didnt have a tach so i got one from an autosalvage yard and it works nice everything pluged right in

No no, I'm just asking about someone elses car. He has an older Civic that doesn't have a tach, I'm just curious what engine it would have.

RE: 5th gen w/out tach
the DX, and LX(and some CX's) have a D15b7, the base model CX has a D15B8, but the easiest way to tell is if you pop the hood and the valve cover says 16Valve then it is a B7, if it doesn't then it is a B8

as well the VX(i htink it is Canada only) has a CLuster with a tach in it
