Default 88 civic labor estimates?

I have a 88 honda civic 5 speed that im selling to my friends sister. She is aware it has problems and i intend to do the labor for her as well as teach her how to drive a standard. What needs to be replaced is
clutch
lower balljoints
lower tierod ends
timing belt
plastic timing belt covers
cylinder head gasket / intake mani/exhaust mani gasket replacement
now i wana give her a fair price. Im not trying to get rich off her and tax her out the *** but i dont want to go too cheap and not get **** out of it either. Im not too sure what to quote her. Do you guys have any estimation on seperate jobs that i could give her. Average prices and what you would charge to do each job seperately. Thanks

i'd charge around $200-$280 for labor, depending on whether or not it has to be done at once or split up, if i can work on it steady around $250 or less, if it was seperate times being brought in around $250-$280 again depending on condition of parts and not running into problems along the way. but thats just me....

my pricing would be around 450$ in labor if i was to do all that. i usually charge 200 for head gasket which also includes intake and exhaust gaskets and timing belt and water pump installation. and i charge around 150 to put a clutch in. and another 50 in labor for ball joints and tie rod installation. which is still dirt cheap compared to a shop that charges 350- 400 just for clutch install

I agree more with Mitch's price. She needs 3 pretty much separate jobs done... Clutch, Timing Belt, Head Gasket. Clutch obviously doesn't require removal of either, making it a separate job, and while the cylinder head gasket involves the timing belt, changing the cylinder head gasket would not include the amount of work that changing the timing belt takes because if she didn't need the timing belt changed, you could just loosen the belt and slip it off the cam gear. Intake and exhaust manifold gaskets don't require any extra work since you're already doing the head gasket and to get to it you have to unbolt the manifolds. about $500 in labor for all of that is a fair deal for sure.

i fix cars and sell them all the time, they can buy the car as is when i get it, pay me to fix it or someone else, or they can buy the car fixed. labor is labor. you price the car based on its condition. just because you sell a car to someone doesnt mean you gotta fix it up for them for nothing, if so then i would never sell a car i would just keep them all. my pricing is a damn good price for labor that i charge and i do damn good work and stand by it all. im usually 1/3- 1/2 of the price of a shop. 450$ to do all that work is a great price compared to if she was to take it to a shop they would charge 400 alone just for the labor clutch install.

Here are the Mitchell on Demand shop flat rates for the required jobs
the flat rates I am posting are what a shop would use for the estimate
cylinder head gasket R&R - 4.8hrs with a/c, 4.4hrs w/o A/C since the timingbelt/waterpump would be done at the same time subtract ~1hr
intake & exhaust manifold gaskets - N/C included with the cylinder-head gasket job because they have to be removed anyway
timing belt and water pump - 2.9hrs with a/c 2.5hrs w/o a/c includes adj valves (this labor DOESNOT incl the TB tensioner or seals if needed)
timing covers - N/C because they are removed for the timingbelt/waterpump job
front lower balljoints - 1.2hrs PER SIDE so 2.4hrs
both outer tierods - 1.2hrs (includes setting toe-in (alignment))
clutch - 5.4 hrs

To quote these labor prices I went with a 1988 Civic FWD (AWD, CRX, LX, DX, could possibly be more time for the same job)

So the flat rate for everything with A/C interference is 15.7 HRS
without A/C interference 15.2HRS
most shops hourly rate varies anywhere from $40/hr to $120/HR
so on the low end @ $40/hr with A/C = $628

My estimates DO NOT INCLUDE PARTS, ONLY THE LABOR TIMES

A/C doesn't make a difference on any of the work this guy needs done, except for the 5 extra minutes it would take to remove and reinstall the A/C belt while doing the timing belt change.
