Guys please reply asap..Both of my license plate lights are burned out. I cant seem to figure out how to get to them to replace them. Looked underneath but dont see and screws? The heck? Really dont want to have to buy the book for this one. Please help me out. thanks

 

It's unlikely that both would be burnt, check your fuses. As for changing them, I don't make my civic nearby so I can't check, I checked the manual that I have on my comp, but no infos on these lights. Seriously I'm sure it's very simple & easy. Just look everywhere around it... It can't be that hard!!

As for your door handle, you'll have to remove the door panel, then you'll see screws holding it in place. To remove the door panels, look for screws around it, with the door open of course.

 

What year and trim is yours?

 

I'm not sure if you're talking to me or him but mine is a 91 hatch SI and his is a 91 DX

 

Him. LOL I know on mine (98 EX) there are two screws per light. Take them out the light cover drops off and the bulb changes just like normal.

 

i will take a look at my 89 hatch si tomorrow and see if i can figure it out. it should be the same right since they are the same generation

 

On my four-door, looks like you'd reach around to the top of the light and twist and pull the socket out. Seems it might be a lot easier to reach after removing the license plate first. There are screws holding the dome lens on the bottom but they are rusted to oblivion on mine.
