I have a 93 civic. I want to know what size bulbs my license plate lights use. The ones in there are original and are this ugly yellowish color. I want to get LED bulbs for a cleaner, white light look. Does anyone know what size they are and where I can get some that are LED?

 

no clue what size they are... just pull one and take to your autozone and remember the bulb type/code....
tho you can always custom wire up your own lights

and maybe some frost spray on the inside of the lenses to help even out the glow...

see bad thing with LEDs are most are not WIDE ANGLE..... so with regular leds they have sharp spot light effect which can look preaty bad if not aimed and the right distance from the led to the surface pointed at....
so if you want the BEST looking lighting than i would sugest 2 of those floodlight led units.. one on each side... some simple sandpaper some epoxy sealer to make the light units stick to the stock housings is all thats needed, and then just wire up the two wires.... cannt get any easier

My 00 Si and 94 Accord use the same bulb as below for the license plate. They look nice at night. They might work for yours too.

*****I just checked a link and it says the stock Number is 168 for our BULBS..Thses bulbs will work for you. It has a different number because they are a different brand name than OEM bulbs.

those mini xenon bulbs will work good for what i want, i just want bulbs that don't give off the ugly yellow color (which is way too much contrast from the rest of my car). plus they're only 10 bucks total so that will be perfect. thanks

 

if they are 194's.... i have some that i got from www.superlumination.com i got the one that has 6 led's in it and emits light in all angles. its very bright and looks really good (i have white)

 

I been having those bulbs installed on my Accord for over 5 yrs and never gotten burned out...The LED's are great but if one Led gets burned out you can't replace it.

Tomorrow night I'll put a pix of my accord light if I have time, New years eve I might be drunk ..lol[sm=groupwave.gif]

 

well before ya buy them pull one of your bulbs out... and make sure they are that push in style... i cannt remember if they are push in style or push in and turn style... i cannt remember for my 94.... i know my 99 uses 194s
