I am new to the Civic game, but, I am a long time Honda owner. In fact my wife has a 2004 CRV. Well, I just got a 93 DX Hatch, with the automatic tranny. The car has 159k on it, but drives excellent. I have some questions about it.

1. The oil needs to be changed- What kind should I run? High Mileage?

2. Should I change the tranny fluid?

3. How many more miles should I expect out of the engine, if not modded, and used as a kid shuttle?

4. How many more miles should I expect on the tranny? It feels fine.

 

1. You dont have to use high milage. What were the previous oil changes like, if synthetic, go with that, if not, its not good to switch a high milage car onto it, so get semi-synthetic.

2.Changing tranny fluid is always a good thing, especially if it hasent been done in 159k

3. Its a honda man, take care of her, and shell do the same back. Good mantinance=250K-300k miles

4. Dont know how car was driven before, so couldent tell about tranny
