Default 95 Civic ABS problem

I have a problem with the ABS not working on my car, for a while, every time i braked, i could feel the ABS kicking back on the pedal, even if it was light braking. Now the brakes feel really poor and the ABS definately doesnt work ( i had to brake harshly the other day to avoid a cyclist [:@])

There is pleanty left on my pads all round.

anyone have any ideas for me?

I had a very similar problem, only my ABS light would come on.

Turned out the front offside ABS sensor had become faulty. The other 3 ABS sensors would return a voltage and resistance reading.

Hope this helps.

If the light is not on while driving, see if the light goes on and off when you start the engine. If it never comes on, someone may have removed the bulb.

If the light is on you can retrieve a trouble code from the ABS computer.
